Hello friends...
How is your week?
I hope you are good!
I've had a busy week off work, enjoying some much needed time
with friends and family
However, I have managed to escape to my desk, usually early in the mornings...
Sometimes the mojo just disappears and yes, its been one of those missing mojo kind of weeks!
So I decided to challenge myself that I was only allowed to use stuff that was already out on my desk, (including all the scraps in the bin.)
I've had some of these mini journals sat waiting for a project, so i took one of them and gave it a layer of gesso. (The journals are from a Danish shop here in the UK called Flying tiger )
As I had no distress inks on my desk I used my coffee to stain the ribbon and papers....
I used lots of layers, using scrap cuttings, rusty wire, card and tags...
I stamped randomly using Tim Holtz 'Ledger' stamp,
along with some remnant rub ons from Idea-ology
The butterfly is from one of Tim's Ephemera packs.
To finish I added some splashes of gesso and more coffee splatters
I really enjoyed creating with stuff that was destined for the trash...
As always feel free to leave a comment, always great to know you have popped by!
Have a lovely week!
Kaz

ReplyDeleteYour journal cover is fabulous Kaz and isn't it great to use up scrap pieces etc. Do you rust your own wire?
