Hello friends
I hope you are all good...
Today I'm sharing an Eileen Hull Sizzix die notebook
I started by covering it in lots of layers of book text glued down with collage medium,
when completely dry I added a layer of gesso.
I then added layers of distress oxides, distress paints and some Deco art media paint in Quinacridone, which gives a really rich vibrant rust colour.
I added some stencilling using Tim Holtz (THS 020) and stamped using one of Tims background stamps.
The centre is some vintage text from an old book
page, framed with a frame and a star from Idea-ology, I typed the 'notes' using my old vintage typewriter.
To finish I added some pages to the inside and an old key from my stash
The numbers are from an old number stamp I have.
As always feel free to leave a comment as its great to know you popped by...
Have a great week

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented Kaz, this is a work of art! That Quinacridone is a an amazing touch! Q. Nickel Azo by Golden is fab. color too :) I can't stop looking!
ReplyDeleteGrungy perfection
ReplyDeleteThe color is so beautiful and vibrant on the cover; and the layers of color, stamps, paint and ink give such depth. The cover is so beautiful that I'm sure for an average person the results would be unattainable, but a gorgeous piece, none the less!
ReplyDeleteLove the grungy look, question...was it Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Quinacridone Gold, or Quinacridone Red??? I decided that I needed the Quinacridone to add to my arsenal and was surprised to see so many variations. There are also 2 Violet/Purple choices as well.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous cover Kaz and I adore the details/embelishments
ReplyDeleteTFS and hugs
