Hello friends
I hope you are good!
Just a quick post to share a bit of a mash up of products I used to create this mini note book journal.
The die is the Eileen Hull notebook die from sizzix cut from mount board.
I then added lots of layers of gesso, Paperartsy chalk paints, Decoart media and some distress paints
The Ruler stamp is by Tracy Evans at AAll and create(235)
I was lucky to sneak a quick visit to see Tracy at The Creative craft show at the weekend in Birmingham, Tracy was demoing her stamps and sharing lots of fabulous techniques.
I only had a few minutes to shop so I decided to go for the Ruler stamp as it combines my love of all things vintage and numbers.
I then added more stitching to the book and some Idea-ology paper clips and star and punched out the word journal using my demo machine
As always please do feel free to leave a comment, its great to know you popped by
Have a great week
Kaz

This is such a gorgeous grungy mash up! I just love the look of the layers of paint, combined with the sewing and your embellishments, it’s perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I adore all the painted layers and the rulers look so fabulously authentic. Love love love ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful journal cover.
ReplyDeleteKaz, this cover is stunning, I love how you used the ruler stamp, I can't wait to use it now! Love this. Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteI really love the shade of green and the texture of it all. Seeing the rulers reminded me of the ruler embossing folders and stamps I have and haven't used in a long time. I wonder what it is about numbers that is so appealing. There are times I'll look a piece and fix it all by adding a number. It is as though you add a story or a secret and that just seems to enhance the piece. Lovely journal. Oh, and I caught up with additional browsing on your posts. Congratulations on taking the leap of faith and leaving your day job to redirect your life. It's brave and likely will be a very wise move.
ReplyDeletePinned this fabulous Journal! LOVE every detail!
