Hello friends
Hope you are all well,
Can you believe it’s nearly the end of October??
I really don’t know where the time has gone...
October is one of my favourite months, I love the change in autumnal colours, the crisp air, pumpkins, cozy nights in front of the fire..... but I also love to collect Nature’s gifts acorns, ferns horse chestnuts, leaves... some of these I’ve used in today’s make.
This is my special “October” journal that I created using the Eileen Hull note book die.
I cut the die in watercolour paper then covered it using Tim Holtz tissue paper
I then started to add lots of sewing into the note book.
To create the focal pint I up-cycled an old envelope and typed in the October using my vintage typewriter. I then built up lots of layers using old lace, washi tape, old text and more sewing
I then added some old leaves and acorns stuck down with Matt medium.
I stamped the word journal and attached it to the notebook...
I wanted to keep a journal for this October as it’s been quite a rollercoaster of emotions...
I made a big decision to finally leave my day job... it was difficult as I love the people I worked with lots, but it was most definitely the best decision for me...
So what’s next?
Well I’m still contemplating what to do
but I’m sure it will involve something creative.
Anyway as always feel free to leave a comment I really do appreciate you passing by...
have a great week
Kaz

So totally gorgeous, and beautifully grungy! I love your makes for the inspiration that sparks ideas for me. This would be so my style if I was clever enough to make my own journal. Thanks for sharing and thanks for continuing to blog! ❤️
