Hello friends!
Hope you are all good,
Whoohoo!! Spring has finally sprung and
today has been a beauty!
I decided to open up the shed for the first time this year
and it was so good to be back in my little creative place.....
(pssst in case I forget.......at the end of this post, I'm having a little giveaway..... a signed copy of Tim's new book!)
Over at Inspiration Emporium the challenge this month is a splash of colour,
Hop over to the blog here to see all the details
Colour is a little scary for me as I love vintage tones but I gave it my best shot!
I started with re-cycling some old cardboard packaging...
I spread over lots of gesso
I also gessoed the Idea-ology clipboard and fixed it using some brads.

Colour is a little scary for me as I love vintage tones but I gave it my best shot!
I started with re-cycling some old cardboard packaging...
I spread over lots of gesso
I also gessoed the Idea-ology clipboard and fixed it using some brads.
Using distress paints I splattered over the cardboard and clip.....
while it was drying I stamped the sea-horse using Archival ink
and set about colouring it in with distress markers and blending using a water brush
(something I'm still trying to master!)
I used my spritzer to add some black speckles and sewed the edges using my sewing machine
Using the garden greens die I cut out the leaves with core`dinations paper and sanded......
I used distress ink (peacock feathers) around the edges of the stamped image and finished by adding some red/white twine.
I really enjoyed my time in the shed today......it was so good for the soul.
Now ..... did I mention I was having a little giveaway??
