April-Ideas and Dreams

Hello friends...
I hope you are good!

Today I'm sharing with you a Mini journal using lots of Tim Holtz Idea-ology and the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Chapter 2 release - thinlets (664178 Crochet)
Honestly, I told myself I didn't need any of the new release....but then I saw them and then I decided that YES, I did need them!! The detail is just amazing....totally blown away by the intricacy of the dies, you will not be disappointed!

I used the Idea-ology worn wallpaper as a base for the cover, followed by the journal cards and ephemera.
Used my vintage typewriter for the words and framed them with one of the new adornment frames
I used lots of stitching into the paper and card.
I then cut out more crochet dies, coloured them using distress inks (walnut stain) and cut them to make header tabs for my journal.
The believe was cut out using the new Alphanumeric thinlet die (another must have die!)
I also used some design tape to to trim the crochet onto the front cover,
the star is also from Idea-ology
I also stamped onto the mini tag using a Stampers anonymous set called correspondence (CMS 225)
I really enjoyed pulling all the different elements together to create this mini journal,
(the mini books are available from a shop called Flying tiger in the UK...
The dies and Idea-ology are available from Art from the heart)

As always please feel free to leave a comment I really do appreciate them...
Have a lovely week!

  3. Kaz, this is so amazing and appeals to my "shabby chic" side--do people even use that term anymore? In any case, the mini journal is gorgeous; I love your use of all the little pieces that make a cohesive project. There is just so much to see. And the crochet die is on my wish list! Thanks for your inspiration...love it.
