Tim Holtz Ideaology Project 1

Hello friends
I hope you are all good!
I'm super excited to share with you one of my makes for
Tim Holtz Ideology for Creativation which has just taken place in Arizona.
A big thank you to Tim and Paula for the invitation to take part.....I loved every minute!

I wanted to combine my love of vintage with a little grunge,
so used Tim's abandoned papers along with some distress crackle (my favourite!)
I also added some rub on's to the left corner of the frame

I then selected a Photo Booth photo, framed it and added layers of the field notes ephemera
I love these butterflies, which I sewed into the frame
To finish I added some cord and a word token and tied it around the frame...
Here it is on show in the Ideology booth at creativation
They have a huge range of all the latest releases.
As always please feel free to leave a comment.... I really appreciate you popping by

I'll be back at the weekend with more makes
bye for now

Creativation Idea-ology sample

Hello friends
Hope you are all good!
Just a really quick post today to share with you another
one of my samples that I created for Tim Holtz
Idea-ology booth at Creativation 2018

This was a lot of fun to create...
I used a printer tray as the base, covered it in a mixture of Tim's papers
I added one of the new collage frames along with a frame from the framed panels....I then
got to work using distress paints to grunge them up!
The background is made up of the Milk caps....  I love this paper doll boy with his dog ( painted using distress paints)
I then added some of the gears, facets and locks....all Idea-ology!
To finish I added rulers, some stitching and a clipboard
I hope you like the the sample
As always feel free to leave a comment,
sorry its a quick post....
I will be back very soon with the last of my samples
Have a great weekend!

Creativation Part 2

 Hello friends

Hope you are all good!
Many thanks for all the comments on the previous Blog hop...
Richele has announced winners on her blog here...
(Thank you Richele for organising the hop, it was so much fun x!)

Today I'm sharing 3 more of my samples made for the Idea-ology booth at Creativation 2018,
starting off with this clipboard...
I wanted to create a grungy look and set to work applying lots of distress paints and collage medium
To add a pop of colour I added one of the Milagro Adornments, along with the bird...just love these charms!
This next sample was created using a Vignette box, the new panel frames fit perfectly over the top to create a shadow box
The inside was decorated with ephemera, a paper doll and those cool clock hands and not forgetting that fabulous handle also from the new Idea-ology release!
This sample is also made up also using a vignette box, the inside is decorated with the new wallpaper, ephemera and paper doll
To finish I painted the finials and added them to the box, oh and added some stitching to the frame
These samples were really fun to create,
please feel free to a comment, I appreciate each and everyone!

I have more samples to share very soon so be sure to pop back!
Have a lovely weekend!

Idea-ology Part 2

Hello friends...
Hope you are good!
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments on my previous post.....I really appreciate each and everyone.

I thought I would share part 2 of the samples I created for Idea-ology booth at the Creativation show,  which took place last weekend.
Ideology is my favourite lines ever, so these were so much fun to make.....

For this sample, I used the reverse of a panel frame to create the base,
I then used a board from the new salvaged base boards
I added lots of Idea-ology cogs, rulers, clips, washi tape, frame, keys......
To finish I hung it all from an Idea-ology hanger
For this next sample I used lots of layers, substrates, cabinet cards and paper stash
The centrepiece is a pocket watch filled with one of those paper dolls....love that dog!
I then mounted them all onto a clipboard
This sample was made with vignette panels,
I created a hanging by linking the boards with book rings....
Each board was covered in paper stash (Memoranda)
I added paper dolls, transparent tiles, some arrows, stars and again some of that fabulous washi tape!

Again it was such an honour to be a part of team Tim,
I enjoyed every minute!

I will be back on Monday to share the last of my makes....
Feel free to leave a comment, always great to hear from you!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Idea-ology Part 1

Hello friends

Hope you are good!
Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my previous post,
 I appreciate each and everyone!

Today I thought I would share some more of my samples from the Creativation show...
This  time its from the Idea-ology booth.
I'm a huge fan of Tim's Idea-ology line, I love all the possibilities, the vintage look and all those little findings..... so as you can imagine I was so thrilled to be asked to create for them!
Today I will share some of my vignette boxes,
These are cool little nested boxes that are sold in a packs of 4.
I covered the boxes using the paper stash called Memoranda by Tim Holtz.
Each box was lined with papers then the edges were covered using the new washi tape,
I then filled them with everything Idea-ology,
ephemera, the new paper dolls, keys rulers, frames, bottles. pocket watches...

(thank you Marjie for taking this photo at the show).
Here's some close ups....

I loved using the new finials, these are turned wood fittings, they add an extra vintage element to the boxes....I know for sure that I have more of these on my ever growing shopping list!

A huge thank you to Tim, and Paula for asking me to be a part of the creative process....
....its been a dream come true!

As always feel free to leave a comment,
I really appreciate you popping by xx

All the new Idea-ology is available to order at Art from the Heart here

I hope to post part 2 over the weekend
Have a great day!
